Readeck on Portainer with SWAG reverse proxy

Mozilla’s Pocket is shutting down soon, so I need something else. In this post I explain the Readeck installation on Portainer with a SWAG reverse proxy in front.

Dawarich installation with Portainer und SWAG

In this post I describe the installation and configuration of Dawarich, an open source Google Timeline alternative. The installation is done as a docker stack via Portainer and the Linux server SWAG reverse proxy.

Community Applications plugin und Unraid 7.0.1 update

Nach einem Update von Unraid auf die Patch-Version 7.0.1 präsentiert der Menüpunkt Apps (Community Apps plugin) statt der Liste eine Fehlermeldung, dass der appfeed nicht heruntergeladen werden kann:

Download of appfeed failed.
Community Applications requires your server to have internet access. The most common cause of this failure is a failure to resolve DNS addresses. You can try and reset your modem and router to fix this issue, or set static DNS addresses (Settings - Network Settings) of 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 and try again.

Alternatively, there is also a chance that the server handling the application feed is temporarily down. See also this post for more information

Borgmatic Configuration: Update Occasionally

PSA: If you regularly update borgmatic (e.g., because the Docker image is set to auto-update), you should also occasionally update the configuration file to keep it up to date. From time to time, the config file learns new options or old ones are deprecated.

Borgmatic provides the command borgmatic config generate for this purpose.

rclone und unraid, nächste Iteration

Das in Howto: rclone unraid edition verwendete Docker-Image binhex-rclone hat den Nachteil nur einzelne Unterverzeichnisse synchronisieren zu können und ist sehr eingeschränkt, was die Verzeichnisstruktur angeht. Deshalb starte ich einen zweiten Versuch mit rclone von Waseh.
